the beauty of October Skies
October arrives softly.
First in the sky, before anywhere else.
There’s something beautiful about the ombré gradients at sunrise and sunset.
The colors are striking, but it’s more than that.
It’s a feeling, a reminder that nature’s beauty shows up reliably, even as everything begins to shift.
The sky changes first.
Warm winds giving way to a sharper breeze, bright airy tones deepening into a warm glow. It’s subtle, but it mirrors how the world beneath it is beginning to change too.
As the season settles in, the hum of cicadas fades into the gentle patter of fall rain. Crisp mornings replace humid ones, and the warmth of summer moves indoors; into our homes, our relationships, and the way we gather.
These quiet transformations make October one of my favorite times of year.
The world slows just enough for us to notice, and in those small pauses, we’re invited to feel a little more connected — to ourselves, and to everything around us.
